Jimmy Eat World Living The 'Sweet' Life In New Clip

In Jimmy Eat World’s video for “Sweetness,” the band remains essentially stationary as the world around it changes at a blurring pace. It’s an example of art imitating life, as the band’s self-titled latest album has brought about a change never before experienced in the Mesa, Arizona, quartet’s eight years together: mainstream success. “It’s loosely based on a general journey of what a band goes through as they start and as they progress,” drummer Zach Lind said of the clip. “There’s not really a story line to it. It’s more of a very cool, unique-looking video that will hopefully look… Read more »

Pop Goes The Emo On Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American

You might think that after parting ways with a major label, Jimmy Eat World would take the opportunity to further indulge in the thoughtful experimentation that marked 1999’s Clarity, their second and final release on Capitol. After all, no label means no more A&R guys frowning at songs like Clarity’s 16-minute-plus “Goodbye Sky Harbor,” with its drum-loop buildup and crescendo of overlapping, programmed vocals. But left to their own devices, Mesa, Arizona’s favorite sons made their most straight-up pop record to date – Bleed American, which hit stores Tuesday. “Things still got pretty gnarly in the studio as far as… Read more »

FELICITY & Greyson Zane Created “Emo Trash” On Worst Song Ever

FELICITY and Greyson Zane might just be the most hated pop punk artists on the planet right now. A few weeks ago they shared a clip of their upcoming single, “Emo Trash” on TikTok and the internet went absolutely feral. Why? In the world of emo and alternative rock everyone loves an emotionally charged song that cuts deep. However, sometimes music is just supposed to be fun. There is something special about a goofy, tongue-in-cheek track that isn’t meant to be anything other than a good time. This isn’t a new concept in the genre. Outfits like blink-182, Bowling For… Read more »
