Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Butler Share “So Much (For) Stardust” Music Video

In tandem with their return to the stage on February 28, Fall Out Boy released a brand-new music video for “So Much (For) Stardust.” Their latest album’s title-track video was preceded by videos for “Hold Me Like A Grudge,” “Heartbreak Feels So Good,” and “Love From The Other Side.” Unlike those music videos, the new one features a special star: Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler.

Now, many chronically online Fall Out Boy fans may recall Butler from his meme moment when he arrived at Miami Heat media day in full emo hair with eyeliner and piercings. “Emo Jimmy Butler” truly has professional NBA pictures where he looks like an OG My Chemical Romance fan. Nicknamed “Heat Wentz,” emo Jimmy Butler appeared in a bedazzled purple cowboy suit and hat with snakeskin boots. Call that “y’all-ternative.”

After dancing around and staring longingly off into the distance with an acoustic guitar in hand, Butler shakes a bedazzled purple Magic 8 Ball. Shortly after, Pete Wentz appears in a bedazzled white cowboy hat and gold boots. Thus began the dance of the emo cowboys. Check out the vintage-tinged music video below.

It seems as if Butler had a great time while filming the video. The basketball player shared behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot and a fabulous photo with Wentz. In the caption, he wrote, “@falloutboy X emo jimmy. Does the world want emo jimmy back?” If were lucky, maybe Jimmy Eat World won’t be the only “emo Jimmy” on Fall Out Boy’s So Much For (2our) Dust.
