One of the more thoughtfully named tours in recent memory has embarked on its journey.
Those walking into Webster Hall’s studio room for The Bring Me Home tour were caught off guard by what was going on around them. Fans were marked with a Closure in Moscow stamp, a cat roamed the venue freely and bands’ equipment was left astray and unguarded. Not to mention it was one o’clock in the afternoon, a time when most of those attending could have just as easily been sleeping.
In honor of Hopeless Records turning 30, Scene Queen has covered “The Best Thing (That Never Happened)” by We Are The In Crowd for the label’s Hopelessly Devoted To You compilation album. The song originally appeared on We Are The In Crowd‘s 2014 LP Weird Kids. The compilation will also boast The Wonder Years’ cover of Thrice’s “Deadbolt,” Point North’s cover of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Unholy Confessions,” NOAHFINNCE‘s rendition of Waterparks‘ “I Miss Having Sex But at Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore,” and Bayside‘s reworking of The Weakerthans‘ “Aside.” Plus, it features LØLØ‘s cover of New Found Glory‘s “Vicious Love,” Hey Violet‘s and Jayden Seeley‘s Yellowcard cover of “Hang You Up” and Sincere Engineer‘s cover of “I Hate Myself” by 88 Fingers Louie. Cameron Hurley has had a storied career since joining We Are The In Crowd in 2009. After the band’s success across Warped Tour, Hurley has furthered his guitar skills and artistry alongside bandmate Taylor Jardine under the stage name Sainte and has even played alongside Avril Lavigne and State Champs.
