Of the song, Hexum says, “The story behind the lyrics to ‘You’re Gonna Get It’ is going back into the mindset of when we were young, and dumb and doing a lot of crazy stuff. Sometimes getting away with it, sometimes with consequences. And I’m going in and out of the first… Read more »
Your inner teenager is calling, and it wants you to rock out with Senses Fail and Saves The Day on their upcoming New Jersey vs. The World Tour! The 2000s emo explosion was a defining cornerstone in music history, bringing albums like Saves The Day’s Through Being Cool and Senses Fail’s Let It Enfold You. These albums were made by teens, for teens, and perfectly encapsulate the trepidatious unease that fuels the intoxicating exuberance and despair of youth. Few records have had the kind of influence on the pop-punk and emo genres as Through Being Cool did through its 1999… Read more »
Wallows is gearing up to release their third album Model on May 24 via Atlantic Records. However, before the big day, Wallows is giving us one more taste of what’s to come with their new single, “A Warning.” The illuminating new song is preceded by “Calling After Me” “Your Apartment” and “Bad Dream.” Featuring glistening, yet melancholy, indie pop instrumentals, the chorus says, “You could’ve given me a warning ‘cause you had me holding out for nothing/Oh, you could’ve given me a warning if you knew that all your walls would cave in/Yeah, I could’ve given it some more, but… Read more »
