P!nk's New Album, Try This, in Stores November 11th


Arista recording artist P!nk is in the final stages of completing her hotly expected third album, entitled TRY THIS – in stores November 11th, it was announced today by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, president and CEO, Arista Records. The first single (and opening track) on TRY THIS will be “Trouble,” co-written by P!nk with Tim Armstrong (of alt-rock heroes Rancid), who also produced the track. Avril Lavigne's 'World' Comes Down In November


Now that pop music has been peppered with so many Avril clones, these days Lavigne is acting out her best Green Day, Bob Dylan and Metallica impressions. Lavigne’s covers of songs by those artists appear on the bonus audio disc that comes with “My World,” the singer’s first DVD, due November 4, according to an Arista Records spokesperson. Avril Lavigne & The Neptunes Readying DVDs


Avril Lavigne and the Neptunes are going to each release a DVD later this year, under a deal Arista Records has made with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Lavigne’s DVD is of a live concert, and the Neptunes are releasing a straight-to-DVD movie. Lavigne’s My World is her first live concert DVD, and it features behind the scenes footage, five music videos, and a bonus six song CD. Lavigne Cashing in on DVD Boom


Arista Records and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have joined forces to release music DVDs, beginning with the Nov. 4 launch of Avril Lavigne’s “My World,” featuring a concert, a behind-the-scenes featurette, five music videos, and a six-song bonus audio CD that includes four unreleased tracks. BMG Releases Its First Commercial Copy-Managed CD in the U.S.


BMG, the worldwide music division of Bertelsmann AG, announced today that Arista Records will be the company’s first label in the U.S. to release a commercial CD using copy management technology. The CD, Comin’ From Where I’m From, by singer-songwriter Anthony Hamilton, will be released nationwide on September 23rd.
