Previously Unreleased 'NSYNC, O-Town Songs On 'Longshot' Soundtrack


If diehard ‘NSYNC fans thought that surprising them with new material from their favorite group was a long shot, they’d be right. Songs by ‘NSYNC, O-Town and LFO that were previously unavailable in the U.S. will appear on the soundtrack to the straight-to-video film “Longshot,” due March 5, according to the LP’s publicist. McCartney spokesman denies UPN Harrison story


Just when you thought the mystery of where ex-Beatle George Harrison died might have been solved, it may actually have deepened. A spokesman for ex-Beatle Paul McCartney Thursday strongly denied a local television report that said Harrison, who died of cancer in Los Angeles on Nov. 29, passed away at a house owned by McCartney. He also said McCartney did not even own a house in California. Memphis soul innovator Rufus Thomas dies aged 84


Versatile soul icon Rufus Thomas, a pioneering radio DJ and a singer/songwriter famed for the R&B standard “Walking The Dog,” has died in Memphis at age 84, his family said Sunday. Over a 70-year career, which took off in a segregated minstrel show, Thomas was a key player in the rise of rock ‘n’ roll and soul. He recorded for the two greatest record labels to come out of Memphis, Sun and Stax, and performed into his 80s.
