One Step Closer has announced their new album, All You Embrace. The hardcore group’s second LP will be released on May 17 via Run For Cover Records. In the wake of the announcement, they’ve released a new song called “Giant’s Despair.” In the track, the band embraces shoegaze sounds with intricate hardcore chords that are re-fitted into a modern mix of emphatic emo. Sad Summer Fest is back! The pop-punk traveling tour will kick off this summer to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Fans can register for pre-sale on Friday, March 1, with tickets going on sale to the public the following week on Friday, March 8. Hardcore’s growing popularity in the mainstream is evident. With Knocked Loose going viral, the genre has introduced a new avenue for some artists to explore. Que: The Neighbourhood’s vocalist Jesse Rutherford and his new band, Valley Girl. The new group has released a four-song demo on YouTube simply titled “Demo” that runs a little over 10 minutes.
