Never Mind Britney, Aerosmith Back on the Road


After dismaying some fans by performing with pop princess Britney Spears last year, veteran rock band Aerosmith is hitting the road this week with some more appropriate musical stars in tow. The Boston-based combo, famed for a 30-year string of hits including “Dream On” and “Love in an Elevator,” will begin a three-month tour on Tuesday in New Jersey. Kid Rock, Run-D.M.C. Back In The Saddle With Aerosmith


When Aerosmith tell you which way to walk this summer, they’ll be pointing at Kid Rock and Run-D.M.C., who’ll join the veteran rockers on select tour dates across the country. The collaboration is a reunion of sorts for the three acts, who played a medley of “Walk This Way,” “Rock Box” and “King of Rock” at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. Aerosmith Collect the Hits


Aerosmith’s latest greatest hits collection is due June 25th. Aerosmith House Fire Investigated


Investigators were at the scene all day Monday and planned to return Tuesday. Hamilton’s home, which was undergoing extensive renovations, was destroyed by a fire that began around 7 p.m. Saturday. Home of Aerosmith Bassist Burned


The Cape Cod home of Aerosmith bass guitarist Tom Hamilton was destroyed in a fire, authorities said. No one was in the house when a fire started just before 7 p.m. Saturday, firefighter James Murphy said. An addition to Hamilton’s home was under construction. Minutes later, a second fire was reported at a barn about a mile away. Horses inside were rescued before flames engulfed the building, Murphy said. The barn is not owned by Hamilton. Two New Songs On Latest Aerosmith Best-Of Collection


“Girls of Summer,” the midtempo song Aerosmith debuted on mtvICON will be one of at least two new songs on a greatest-hits collection due June 25. Another new track, “Bad Enough,” will also be included. Both songs were written in Hawaii last month by vocalist Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and Marti Frederiksen, who wrote, produced and co-wrote the band’s last record, 2001’s Just Push Play.
