White is producing tracks for Lynn’s next album, reports the Detroit Free Press. Mojo magazine and other British publications have quoted Jack White as saying the band will release one more album and then break up. The White Stripes bring their garage-rock sound to Romania this weekend. The duo is set to perform at a cast party Saturday (November 23) hosted by some members of the cast of Cold Mountain. The Civil War-era film is currently shooting in Romania with stars Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, and Renee Zellweger, and White Stripes singer-guitarist Jack White also appears as a musician and soldier who deserts his troop during the war. The White Stripes will hit the dead leaves and dirty ground of New York’s Union Square on Tuesday to play a free show. The noon performance is the latest in a series of guerilla concerts staged by Nissan. Train played the first gig, in St. Louis on September 17, followed by Pink in Chicago, Eve in Philadelphia, Dashboard Confessional in Boston, Enrique Iglesias in Brooklyn and Cheap Trick in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
