Tina Turner Tours India for Film Role


Producer Ismail Merchant says pop diva Tina Turner’s two-week tour of India has prepared her for her role as a singing, dancing Indian goddess in a new Merchant-Ivory film. “‘The Goddess’ will be funny, intelligent and a musical,” Merchant said. “It’s a film about Shakti. Latin Grammy Loss Hurts Miami's Pride, Pocketbook


Hoteliers, restaurateurs and tourism promoters mourned the loss of the $40 million bonanza that the now-decamped Latin Grammy awards show was expected to bring to the Miami area. But what really has them crying in their Cristal Roederer is the blow to the city’s image. Coachella and Stagecoach Cancelled for 2020


Well, the decision has finally been made. Coachella and Stagecoach have been cancelled for 2020. The governor of California issued a 4 phase process to reopen the state and lift the stay at home orders that have been in effect since March. Music festivals fall under the 4th phase, which will not be implemented until a vaccine is found for COVID-19. According to the Government of California’s website, the first phase of reopening the state involved making sure essential workers—like nurses and grocery store clerks—were able to work safely. Stream a new song from Tokyo Police Club, ‘Hot Tonight’


  Tokyo Police  Club will be releasing their first album in four years titled  Forcefield on March 25th via Mom + Pop. We’ve already heard the first track “Argentina (Parts I, II, III),’ and now they’re streaming the second song, ‘Hot Tonight.’ It’s one of the poppier things we’ve heard from the band, and a sure sign of fantastic things to come from the rest of the LP.
