Nickelback and former Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell will be joined by Default on the Jim Beam Road To The Rackhouse Tour, which kicks off Monday (May 13) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Judging by the number of cars bearing Canada license plates around Michigan State University’s Breslin Center on Tuesday, it was clear that Vancouver’s Nickelback were going to feel right at home. Nickelback, Krall Top Juno Awards


Chart-topping modern rock act Nickelback and jazz pianist/vocalist Diana Krall snared three trophies each at Canada’s Juno Awards last night (April 14) in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Nickelback grabbed Junos for best group, best single for “How You Remind Me” and best rock album for “Silver Side Up” (Roadrunner). Krall picked up Junos for best album and best vocal jazz album for “The Look of Love” (Verve), and the best artist honor. The event was broadcast on the nationwide CTV network. Nickelback, Saliva, Pearl Jam Members Make 'Hero' Sandwich For Spidey


The web of intrigue surrounding the “Spider-Man” soundtrack continues to grow, but a few additional details have emerged from the sticky strands. An anthem called “Hero,” a collaboration between Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Saliva vocalist Josey Scott, Theory of a Dead Man guitarist Tyler Connolly and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron will be the second single on the album, a source close to Nickelback said. Nickelback, Default & Injected Prepare To 'Invade'


Hard rock outfits Nickelback, Default, and Injected will lead MTV’s annual Campus Invasion tour, which will also feature rising U.K. modern rock act Starsailor on the inaugural MTV2 stage. Nickelback Heads To Europe


Having completed its biggest tour in its home country of Canada, Nickelback now heads to Europe this week to spread the word about its second album, Silver Side Up. Nickelback Sued By Former Management For Breach Of Contract


Nickelback’s former management company, Amar Management, filed a breach of contract suit against the band in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Canada. The suit, filed on January 25, contends that Nickelback wrongfully terminated the contract and has failed to pay the management company commissions, disbursements, and various other fees as a result of services rendered. The band allegedly signed a contract with Amar Management in 1996 and worked with the company through two independent albums and its first Roadrunner Records release, The State.
