Papa Roach will warm up for the Anger Management Tour with a string of club dates and radio festivals this month and next. The rockers are playing four small venues in Northern California this week, in and nearby their hometown of Vacaville, before heading overseas for a few festivals and then returning to the States in late May. The inspiration for “She Loves Me Not,” the first single from Papa Roach’s upcoming album, Lovehatetragedy, didn’t come easy to frontman Jacoby Shaddix. The track is about his sometimes-turbulent relationship with his wife, Kelly, who recently gave birth to their first child, Makaile Cielo Shaddix. Papa Roach will release the follow-up to their triple-platinum debut, Infest, on June 25th. The album, lovehatetragedy was produced by Brendan O’Brien, who’s worked with Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine. Next month, the band will head to Atlanta, where singer Coby Dick – who is now going by his birth name, Jacoby Shaddix – will finish recording his vocals. The track listing is still tentative, but the album is expected to be finished by March.
