Following the release of their track “Dr. Frankenstein” with Holding Absence, RedHook is back with their new heavy rock-tinged diss track, “Bomb.com.” Lead vocalist Emmy Mack shares, “Purpose-built for the pit. Nu metal and hardcore influences fuel this rampaging diss track about someone in the music industry who isn’t very nice to female-fronted bands. The lyrics also cheekily reference a Stand Atlantic diss track about the same individual.” On November 22, RedHook is releasing their 11-track LP Mutation to the world. You can pre-order yours here. Mack adds, “‘Mutation’ felt like the perfect name for this record because we wanted… Read more »
Pop-punk music is overflowing with nostalgic and new acts, and they all coexist to create a community for the misfits, misunderstood youth, and adults who want to feel heard. We all can find something to love about the genre’s confessional lyrics, ear-worm choruses, and fast-paced rhythms. Northbound, the moniker of Jonathon Fraser, is a new artist embodying everything beloved about pop-punk on his latest album, Juniper, which just came out on July 12 via Smartpunk Records. The release encapsulates the glory days of early 2000’s pop-punk nostalgia combined with the production quality and modern-day edge of 2024’s brightest scene artists.… Read more »
If you don’t know the name Tilly Kingston, chances are that you will likely be seeing her name more and more—and we are not mad about it. Lyrically, Kingston has the same raw coming-of-age narratives and rebellious feelings of YUNGBLUD himself and Charlotte Sands. “Youth is wasted on the young,” she screams in the song. Check out “YOUTH… Read more »

Say Anything are back together and have released a brand new track, “Psyche!” Today. They are a band that have always done things differently than everyone else. They stuck out like a sore thumb in the scene since their inception in a beautifully unique and transparently broken way. Max Bemis is a genius to say the least and you won’t find another project quite like his. Hell, their first full-length album, …Is A Real Boy, was intended to be a performative musical that transformed into a two-part melodic odyssey. With spoken word interludes, triumphant and drastic sonic changes within each… Read more »

Arriving today via Rude Records, Ouch has been brewing in Hurts since childhood.
