Unreleased U2 Album Missing in France


A compact disc of recordings from Irish rock band U2’s forthcoming album has gone missing in France, raising fears it will be pirated on the Internet ahead of the release date. According to the band’s Web Site, the CD disappeared from a recording studio in Nice, where U2 were doing a photo-shoot in preparation for the release of their first album in four years. Two weeks after her arrest on drug charges, Courtney Love was in Los Angeles Juvenile Court on Thursday in an attempt to regain custody of her 11-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Warner Music Boost In France


Warner Music France is expanding to combine the activities of the company’s French recording affiliate and its Warner/Chappell music publishing business, Paul-Rene Albertini, president of Warner Music Europe said Monday. Albertini said Yan-Philippe Blanc would join the company as chairman & CEO from Universal Music France, where he has been managing director of Mercury/ Island France.
