After keeping a low profile since the 1999 release of “The Fragile,” Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor has finally begun revealing details about his next album. “Bleed Through” is due later this year via Interscope and will find Reznor “touring extensively” in support of it, according to NIN’s official Web site (http://www.nin.com). “One of the ‘rules’ of this record has been to orchestrate using only monophonic voices. Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor may be considering producing some songs for the next album by Limp Bizkit. According to an interview in the German magazine Visions, Bizkit’s Fred Durst contacted Trent Reznor’s management to ask if he would be open to producing a few tracks. Neither a spokesperson for Reznor nor a spokesperson for Durst were available to confirm the report at press time. Reznor and Durst working together would be surprising, considering their high-profile war in the press a few years back. The Canadian pop-punker debuted atop the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive time as her latest, The Best Damn Thing, sold 286,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, according to newly released Nielsen SoundScan numbers. Nine Inch Nails’ former manager John Malm has shot back at Trent Reznor, who filed a suit against him earlier this week seeking millions of dollars. Not only does Malm refute Reznor’s claim that he and former business manager/accountant Richard Szekelyi ripped off the rocker, he insists that Reznor actually owes him over $2 million in unpaid commissions.
