Michael Jackson memorial cost LA $1.4 million


Los Angeles spent $1.4 million to provide security, traffic control and other services for Michael Jackson ‘s memorial service, city officials said as they looked for ways to have others help the financially troubled city pick up the bill. LOS ANGELES — The powerful sedative Diprivan was found in Michael Jackson’s home, a law enforcement official said Friday as the city planned for a massive crowd at the singer’s memorial service. A New Jersey concert promoter has filed a $40 million lawsuit claiming entertainer Michael Jackson breached a contract to play a reunion concert with other family members.
