It is Friday night in the San Fernando Valley and the regulars at Paladino’s, a tiny biker bar, are out in full force. 'Rage,' 'Soundgarden' Form New Group


Maybe they should call themselves Rage Against the Soundgarden. The three remaining members of Rage Against the Machine have created a new band with former Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell, the group’s publicist confirmed on Tuesday. Cornell will join guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk, formerly of the rock-rap fusion band. “They’ve written 20 songs together, the four of them, and Rick Rubin will be producing the recording,” said Lisa Markowitz of Epic Records. Xbox and Linkin Park Team Up for Promotional Partnership


Microsoft Corp. today announced that Linkin Park is slated to be the first music promotional partner for the popular Microsoft(R) Xbox(TM) video game system. P.O.D. Avoid Doing 'Dark, Dark Video' For 'Youth Of The Nation'


For P.O.D. this week, Youth of the Nation (the tour) had to take a backseat to “Youth of the Nation” (the song). The spiritual rap-rockers canceled a gig in Madison, Wisconsin, Wednesday and flew to Los Angeles to shoot a video for the tune, the second single from Satellite. “Youth of the Nation,” a powerful number written the day of the Santana High School shootings in the band’s hometown of San Diego earlier this year, is scheduled to hit radio and video outlets next month, according to Atlantic Records.
