Over 700 artifacts and pieces of memorabilia of Rock ‘n’ Roll history will make their way to auction on October 25 and 26, 2019. A Culver City-based company, Julien’s Auctions, is hosting the event. Two of the items that stand out are those that belonged to the late Kurt Cobain. The olive green sweater he wore during the taping of Nirvana’s iconic 1993 MTV Unplugged recording has an estimated value of $200,000 to $300,000. Saturday, August 31, The Pixies and The Cure will share the stage again for the first time in 30 years at the Daydream Festival in Pasadena, CA. The Cure are throwing the festival to commemorate their 40 year musical anniversary. The festival will take place at the Rose Bowl with 10 bands, namely Deftones, Mogwai, The Joy Formidable, Throwing Muses, Chelsea Wolfe, The Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Kælan Mikla.
