The Goo Goo Dolls are in the studio putting the finishing touches on Gutterflower, their seventh album. It’s set for release in the first half of 2002. Band members John Rzeznik, Robby Takac and Mike Malinin have recorded twelve songs for the disc which is due out in 2002. Gutterflower is being produced by Rob Cavallo (Dizzy Up The Girl). Nelly Furtado will visit a Los Angeles-area high school next week to offer advice on the music industry to students. The event, at Santa Monica High School on December 3, is part of the Grammy Foundation’s Mentor Sessions. Previous participants include the Dave Matthews Band, Seal, Moby, Mary J. Ice produced the set, which features guest appearances from Chuck D, La Tha Darkman, Insane Clown Posse, and Josh Brainard, formerly of Slipknot.
