Papa Roach is set to release its new album Lovehatetragedy on June 18. The band has decided “She Loves Me Not” will be the first single from the collection. It’s scheduled to impact rock and modern rock radio May 7. Lovehatetragedy is produced by Brendan O’Brien, who is known for his work with Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine. Boston native Joey McIntyre will host the 15th annual Boston Music Awards (BMAs) at the city’s 2,700-seat Orpheum Theatre on Thursday (April 11). Virgin Entertainment Group Unveils Program in Boston to Support Student Musicians

Sum 41, Alien Ant Farm Spin Songs For 'Spider-Man'


Songs by Sum 41, Alien Ant Farm, Default and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor as well as a collaboration between Jerry Cantrell and members of Nickelback and Saliva are being considered for the upcoming “Spider-Man” movie soundtrack. Sum 41 plan to contribute a Rick Rubin-produced version of “It’s What We’re All About,” and they’re shooting a video for the tune Wednesday (March 20) in their hometown of Toronto, according to an Island Def Jam spokesperson. Sebastian Bach Arrested For Drugs, Threats In Bar Scuffle


Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach was taken into police custody for making terrorist threats and for drug possession on Wednesday. Police in Middletown, New Jersey, said that what started as a simple bar fight got serious when Bach, whose real name is Sebastian Bierk, threatened to get a gun and shoot a bartender at the Lincroft Inn, a threat police say Bach continued to make even after his initial arrest for disorderly conduct. Def Leppard Bringing on "X"


Def Leppard are putting the finishing touches on their tenth album, tentatively titled “X” and due later this year. The band recorded the follow-up to 1999’s Euphoria last year in Los Angeles and Sweden, with drummer Rick Allen adding his parts last December in Dublin.
