Bennett Enlists Wonder, Crow


Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, k.d. lang and Diana Krall will make guest appearances on Tony Bennett’s next album, Playing With My Friends: Bennett Sings the Blues, which is due this fall. The album will be Bennett’s first since 1999’s Grammy-winning Duke Ellington tribute, Bennett Sings Ellington: Hot and Cool. The seemingly ageless Bennett will launch a twenty-two-date U.S. tour with lang on July 25th in Portland, Maine. Replacements Get Reissued


The early albums of indie rock legends the Replacements have been remastered and will be re-released by Restless Records on July 24th. However, the new CD pressings of the Minneapolis band’s first four Twin/Tone albums – 1981’s Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash, 1982’s Stink EP, 1983’s Hootenanny, and 1984’s landmark Let It Be – won’t contain any bonus tracks or additional artwork. Jill Scott Sings With Isleys


This time around for the Isley Brothers, “that lady” is Jill Scott. The R&B queen has just completed her vocal contributions to “Said Enough,” a last-minute addition to Eternal, the soul men’s fortieth anniversary album, which is due July 24th on DreamWorks. Also joining Ronald and Ernie Isley are R. Kelly, Lucy Pearl’s Rafael Saadiq, Jimmy Jam and Avant. 'N Sync Go "Pop"


While ‘N Sync’s third album, Celebrity, won’t be released until July 24th (long after their tour is underway), fans can get a taste of the first single tomorrow.
