Hawthorne Heights announce summer tour


Ohio’s Hawthorne Heights will be headlining the Summer Of Hope Tour starting June 1st. The band have also announced a June 5th release date for Hope, the follow-up to 2011’s Hate, and the 2nd in the band’s planned trilogy of EP’s.

Harry Potter Actor Slain


Robert Knox, an 18-year-old actor set to appear in the next Harry Potter film, was fatally stabbed outside a London pub on Saturday. According to British media reports, the actor was part of a brawl that sent five males to the hospital, including a 21-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of murder after being treated for facial injuries. Knox, who appeared in the 2004 film King Arthur, plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the penultimate film in the series. New `Jackass' movie to hit Internet


The next batch of painful “Jackass” stunts is coming to a computer screen near you. The first two films – spun off from the former MTV series – co-starred Johnny Knoxville and his gang of gross-out pranksters as they performed stunts to the delight of their youthful fans. But for the sequel “Jackass 2.5,” the dirty daredevils pull a new stunt: bypassing the movie theater entirely. “Jackass 2.5” will instead be released to the Internet. Three Days Grace to Open for Evanescence


After a successful tour in Australia and Brazil, Jive/Zomba Recording artists Three Days Grace are gearing up for their upcoming tour with Evanescence and Seether. The tour kicks off July 13th in Minneapolis, MN and will hit over 12 US dates. Three Days Grace will be headlining US dates in June and July before the Evanescence/Seether tour begins. Janet, Justin Sued by Viewer


The fallout over Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s racy Super Bowl halftime performance continues, as a Tennessee woman has filed suit against the pair as well as halftime show producer MTV, broadcaster CBS and parent company Viacom. Knoxville native Terri Carlin filed a proposed class action lawsuit in a U.S. District Court on Wednesday, charging the accused with causing her and “millions of others” to “suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury.” The suit reportedly seeks billions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damages. Man Accused of Trying to Blackmail Singer


A grand jury has indicted a Johnson City man on charges that he tried to blackmail a gospel singer by threatening to reveal the performer is gay. Walbert Keith Farmer, 39, was arrested by FBI agents earlier this month and indicted last week on federal extortion charges. Farmer is accused of demanding nearly $15,000 from Kirk Talley, a Dove Award-winning and Grammy-nominated singer who lives in Kodak, in exchange for not telling Talley’s recording company about his sexual conduct.
