This week Jess interviews our very own DJ Bowie Jane! Gigs are back and Bowie is back on the road performing all over the country so Jess asks all the juicy questions about prepping for travel with DJ gear, the feeling of being back on stage after COVID, what technology Bowie travels with and how she preps for potential technology issues on stage.
This week we interview artist, activist and choreographer, Kat Cunning (they/them)! They debuted on Broadway in Liaison Dangereuses (Janet McTeer, Liev Schreiber) and in Cirque du Soleil in addition to acting alongside James Franco in HBO’s The Deuce, and most recently, JLo in Marry Me (Universal). Kat is also thrilled to be contributing to authentic LGBTQAI+ representation as a non-binary role in Netflix’s upcoming Purple Hearts and making another anticipated appearance in Issa Rae’s Rap Shit on HBO Max.
This week we chat with singer songwriter Noah Vonne! Noah was raised in the musical heartland of Texas, where she forged an original sound that blends elements of rock, soul, blues, and pop. What a treat it was to chat with music producer Esjay Jones. She talks about her frustration with the music industry initially which led her to teach herself music production and Logic and then move into the producing side. She had her first major cut in the U.S. alongside co-writer Justin Tranter in 2013 with the single “I Choose U” by TimeFlies on Def Jam Records. Since then, she has worked with Grey Daze (Chester Bennington), Sean Kingston, Jeffree Star, Olivia Holt, Escape The Fate, Mystery Skulls with Nile Rodgers and Brandy, Alien Ant Farm, and many more.
