Wiz Khalifa has signed on to play the personification of Death in Apple TV’s “Dickinson”. The addition of Khalifa was a dream for creator Alena Smith who thought he fit the role perfectly for how they wanted to portray Death. “I wanted Death to be the coolest guy in the world because Emily is in love with Death,” Smith said. “Part of the story of the season is about her coming to a more realistic and mature understanding of Death, but where she begins is a kind of Goth worship of death. I just really wanted it to be someone that you would genuinely get excited to see.” For those who swoon at the sight of Wiz Khalifa –is it hot in here? It’s hot in here OKAY– the announcement gives Dickinson a boost. The series is said to blend modern dialogue, poetry, and hip hop to make the story more attractive to a wider audience. Dickinson debuts on Apple TV+ November 1.
