After an indefinite hiatus that led We Are The In Crowd to quietly disband (sort of), the members of the beloved pop-punk band regrouped under vocalist Tay Jardine’s project, SAINTE. The new project features all WATIC members except Jordan Eckes and Rob Chianelli. However, after nearly a decade away from the U.S. stage, We Are The In Crowd has officially returned. The band made a triumphant comeback at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV. Their set delivered a nostalgic performance of their sophomore album Weird Kids, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary earlier this year in February.

The last time We Are The In Crowd performed Stateside was back in April 2015, before SAINTE was launched. Fans had been eagerly awaiting a reunion, and in 2021, the band reunited at Slam Dunk Festival in the UK. These back-to-back performances marked their first shows in more than seven years. Despite this, the Vegas performance is their first U.S. show as We Are The In Crowd in almost ten years.

When the group announced their performances at When We Were Young, the band wrote on their Instagram profile, “For the first time on American soil since 2015. We’re back again… and this time it’s personal”

More on We Are The In Crowd

While We Are The In Crowd have not released new music in more than 10 years (they were slated to release a third studio album, but the record was shelved and never saw the light of day), vocalist Tay Jardine released the solo single “Bad News” and announced the arrival of a still-unnamed EP just a few weeks ago. You can listen to her new single here.
