Warner Bros. Pictures Announces Sneak Previews of ''The Polar Express''

BURBANK, Calif. – Warner Bros. Pictures has announced plans for a special nationwide sneak preview of “The Polar Express” on Saturday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. The picture will preview in approximately 500 venues and in specially selected IMAX houses in IMAX 3D. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

The highly anticipated film stars two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks and is directed by Academy Award-winner Robert Zemeckis. Combining classic storytelling with cutting-edge filmmaking, “The Polar Express” debuts performance capture, a highly advanced version of motion-capture technology developed and tailored to meet Zemeckis’ uncompromising vision, and is the first feature ever to be shot entirely in this format.

The film will open in theaters across the country on Wednesday, November 10.

“The responses to our early screenings were overwhelming,” explained Fellman. “We believe that the positive word of mouth a sneak preview generates for a strong movie like ours is a great marketing opportunity, and we want people to see ‘The Polar Express’ and tell their friends as soon as possible.”

Theaters participating in the sneak screening will be listed in local newspaper ads prior to the preview date. Tickets can be purchased at the box-office or ordered on-line through standard ticket services.
