Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello is doing what he does best—raising his voice and being an activist. The artist just announced the Power To The People Festival: A Day Of Peace, Love Justice, And Music.
The rock festival features an array of progressive and political musicians, including Dave Matthews, System Of A Down‘s Serj Tankian, The Linda Lindas, and even Bruce Springsteen. Taking place on October 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, all general tickets will go live on Saturday, May 30 at 10 AM ET.
Morello shares, “The Power To The People festival is about freedom, justice, equality and rock and roll. It’s about the power everyday human beings have when they come together through music, art, community, and action. We’re honored to bring this incredible lineup to the DC area for a day that celebrates the spirit of activism, creativity, and hope.”

Excitingly, part of the ticket proceeds will be donated to VoteRiders, a pro-democracy, pro-voter organization working to restore and strengthen democracy by eliminating confusing and restrictive ID-related barriers to the ballot box, as well as HeadCount. This voting organization will be at the festival, helping attendees register to vote.
