Billie Joe Armstrong, Tom Morello, & More Feature On Jesse Malin Benefit LP


Silver Patron Saints, is a brand new benefit album, that will feature a slew of star-studded covers to support Jesse Malin’s recovery from a rare spinal stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down last year. With artists such as Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Elvis Costello, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Susana Hoffs, and more sing Malin’s songs to show their support. Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello says the band is “in time of healing”


Sadly, it may be a moment before we receive any substantial news from the members of Rage Against The Machine in regard to their rescheduled European and North American tour dates. After vocalist Zach De la Rocha sustained a leg injury in Chicago during the band’s US reunion tour in July, he persevered through the remainder of the tour performing while seated. Unfortunately, due to the severity of Zach De la Rocha’s Achilles tear, the band was forced to cancel their European show dates and their 2023 North American tour dates. Former Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello will introduce a special presentation about sweatshops and globalization at the University Of Southern California (USC) on Wednesday (February 20). The event starts at 5:30 p.m. PT at the Leavey Library Auditorium on the USC campus in Los Angeles. Morello will speak before a lecture called “Starving For Swoosh” by Leslie Kretzu and Jim Keady of Educating For Justice. Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello and Coup frontman Boots Riley are joining Florida farm workers in protesting Taco Bell at the restaurant’s Irvine, California, headquarters tomorrow.
