After teasing a new collab…the day has finally arrived! The Linda Lindas and Hayley Williams have finally revealed their track “Closer.” In even more exciting news, the band also announced that this single, along with “Burning Out,” will appear on their upcoming record, GOTTA GET OUT, due out August 28 via Reprise/Warner Records.
Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza share, “‘Closer’ is about feeling like you’re losing control of time, and watching yourself grow older from afar. Lately, we’ve been realizing how important it is to stay present, especially when our lives feel constantly in motion. It feels perfect that Hayley Williams was down to collaborate on this song with us, because we’ve been fans of her throughout so many of her different eras– and she’s seen us grow up over the last ten years! We’ll always be honored that we got to write and get emo with the queen of emo herself.”
