The Barenaked Ladies To Perform Free N.Y.C. Concert For Intel

The Barenaked Ladies will headline a free concert in New York City’s Bryant Park from 5 to 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday (April 23). The concert, presented by Intel, is just one of many events that the computer company is hosting in the city on Tuesday in celebration of the introduction of their fastest mobile processor yet, the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor, or M. The company will be demonstrating the new processor, and showcasing M-based notebook computers at various areas throughout the city.

Inline skaters, entertainers, and groups of people carrying notebook computers (human kiosks) will promote M and pass out passports to various promotional activities throughout the city. At various mobile “zones,” there will be giveaways and prize drawings, as well as tickets to the free Barenaked Ladies concert. At New York’s Penn Station there will be giveaways from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, while at Grand Central Station there will be a kickoff event, demos, and giveaways from 1 to 6 p.m. ET. In addition, at Columbia University there will also be games, demos, and free concert tickets available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Although the Barenaked Ladies concert is free, all attendees must have a ticket to enter. Free tickets to the concert are available at the following retailers during their store hours, according to Intel: Data Vision (445 Fifth Avenue), CompUSA (420 Fifth Avenue), J&R Computer World (23 Park Row), Gateway Country (4 Columbus Circle), and Sony Style (550 Madison Avenue).
