The 1975’s New Song “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” is an 80s Daydream

It’s day 4583745 of quarantine and we don’t even care right now because The 1975 have blessed us with a new song that’s taking us out of 2020, right back to the 80s. And we are here for it. “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” is a throwback sound of synths and a real heartstring-puller. You won’t be able to resist dancing along to it (go all out—your neighbors won’t care). Especially when that sax comes in…whew, The 1975 know how to make music that moves us.

“If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” is taken off their upcoming record Notes on a Conditional Form which has been delayed until May 22nd. But judging by how incredible all the songs are that we’ve heard so far, it’s gonna be worth the wait. If you don’t know all the words already (we know you’ve been thirsting over those live recordings), get ready to sing your heart out by the end of the first chorus because, damn, “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” is about to pull you all the way in.
