Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley and his band were recent guest photographers for Playboy magazine-and, not too surprisingly, enjoyed the experience. Whibley says it’s one of the most notable things the band has ever done.
“We were guest photographers for Playboy a couple of weeks ago, so we got to take photos of Playmates all day,” Whibley said. “I mean that was…That was one of those moments where you’re like, ‘Yeah, OK, I’ve made it now.'”
Whibley added that he had such a good time, he wants his next job to be working at Playboy.
Sum 41 is taking a short break, and will be resuming its U.S. tour March 25th in Pittson, Pennsylvania at the Staircase. It winds down May 2nd in Hawaii. The band then plays four dates in Japan.
