Sharon and O zzy Osbourne are informally adding another to their brood. Robert Marcato, a long-time friend of the Osbourne’s daughters Kelly and Aimee, recently lost his mother to colon cancer, a disease that Sharon Osbourne is also battling. Because Marcato has no one else to turn to, and because they have done well financially, the Osbournes are taking Marcato under their wings, they told the New York Post.
The family will not only provide for Marcato, but will also feature the aspiring actor as a regular character on their hit reality series, The Osbournes. “He wants to go to drama school, and we’re sending him to the best drama school we can find,” Mrs. Osbourne told The Post.
Sharon Osbourne took care of Marcato’s mom Regan in the last days of her life, which ended last week at 36. “She had no medical care at home and she was beyond saving,” Mrs. Osbourne told the paper. “They won’t let you stay in the hospital and die, so you go to a hospice or go home. I had private nurses for her 24 hours a day for the last nine days of her life…When I look at somebody like Regan, who didn’t have the resources I had, what the f– have I got to complain about?” Sharon said.
Sharon Osbourne is currently undergoing chemotherapy for her own cancer, but the feisty mom and businesswoman tells the paper she’s doing fine: “I can kick anyone’s ass right now!” she maintains.
