Miles Kent, best known for his work as a touring guitar technician in acts such as Architects, While She Sleeps, Spiritbox, Creeper, and many more, has sadly passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He is survived by several family members, a loving partner, and many music friends.

While She Sleeps shared a message noting, “We are heartbroken to know our brother Miles Kent passed away on Monday. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends & anyone affected by this loss.”

They added, “He was an integral part of the Sleeps Crew for a brief period of time, but in that time we learnt how much of a bright spirit he was, a one of a kind, beautiful soul. He was also a member (& probably the most talented) of the Sleeps Crew Band. We are so lucky to have shared some special moments & traveled parts of the world together. The way he faced his diagnosis is a true testament to his strength and character. He will always be remembered in our hearts, honored in our music & attitude.”

Additionally, Architects shared, “We are devastated to say that we have lost our dear friend, Miles Kent. Miles was an extremely important part of the Architects family, and we along with our entire crew are completely heartbroken. We’re all so proud of Miles for how bravely he faced his cancer diagnosis, and seeing him join us again at the end of our recent US run was such a beautiful moment. Our thoughts are with Miles’s family and girlfriend at this difficult time. We will continue to perform every night and honor our brother from the stage. See you on the other side, Miles.”

Architects took a moment during their Amsterdam set on October 7 to share their love for Kent and grief from his passing. Frontman Sam Carter said, “Miles would not have wanted us to pull out of this show, and I just want you to know that that’s what we are all going through up here this evening. I want to thank you for giving us all the love and support that you’re giving us right now. Thank you for giving us all the energy during the set because we really fucking need it.”
