Today Riot Games announced Linkin Park, Ashnikko, Mars Atlas of Forts, and Tiffany Aris as the performing artists for the Opening Ceremony preceding the 2024 League of Legends World Championship (also known as the Worlds). The Finals will take place at London’s renowned 02 Arena this Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM GMT.
Linkin Park’s single “Heavy Is The Crown,” which is the 11th Worlds anthem, made League of Legends history as the largest anthem debut to date upon its release on September 24, 2024. It has accumulated over 360 million global audio streams and the music video currently has more than 57 million views on YouTube.
Ashnikko’s explosive single “Paint The Town Blue,” is the first single from the Arcane season two soundtrack and was featured in its main trailer. The song’s theme focuses on Arcane protagonist Jinx, who is one of Ashnikko’s favorite characters.This will be the first ever live performance of this song.
Mars Atlas and Tiffany Aris will perform “Still Here,” which was featured in the Season 2024 cinematic. The cinematic became the most-viewed video on the League of Legends YouTube channel over a 24-hour period upon its debut. It currently holds over 124 million views on YouTube.
Linkin Park’s’s highly anticipated return album, From Zero, is due out on November 15 via Warner Records. You can pre-order the album here. The band recently announced headline appearances at Sick New World and Sonic Temple festivals next year, you can see the dates listed below.
