Our favorite feminist musician/TikTok sensation, Jax, has tied the knot with her photographer partner-turned-husband, Brave Gregg. Their enchanting journey to marriage began when they got engaged on December 31, 2022, and was celebrated in a heartfelt wedding ceremony in Scottsdale, AZ, this past weekend, on Saturday, November 4.

This joyous occasion, brimming with love and music, was exclusively featured in PEOPLE Magazine, with enchanting wedding day photos courtesy of Adam Kent. Adding a unique note to the celebration, idobi Radio‘s very own Fish of Gone Fishkin graced the event as a special guest and set the reception’s rhythm as the DJ.

While the wedding ceremony exuded traditional charm, Jax, ever the trailblazer, made her entrance down the aisle with a medley of her favorite pop-punk anthems. According to Gregg, their mutual love for all things emo and a shared youthful spirit led to the decision to infuse the wedding reception with an emo theme.

“From the get-go, we both wanted to throw an emo-themed reception; we’re both kids at heart, and that led to the decision to go with emo color and theme throughout the reception,” Gregg shares.

As the evening unfolded, Jax made a stylish shift from her exquisite Everlasting Bridal gown into a shorter, black dress—a wardrobe choice that resonated with her inner emo spirit, capturing the essence of the moment and the theme of the couple’s reception beautifully. Jax shares with PEOPLE, “Think early to mid-2000’s pop-punk theme. We’re going to have our grandparents wearing guyliner. Some of our favorite bands who are attending might jump up on stage to perform.”

In an unexpected turn of events, SIA graced the stage to perform a touching father-daughter dance set to the moving melody of “Like My Father,” a song Jax herself released in 2021 as a tribute to her father. The moment was a heartfelt and beautiful connection between Jax and her father before she joined SIA on stage to complete the song’s final chorus. Additionally, Warped Tour FM performed an pop-punked-fueled cover set, that included Jimmy Eat World‘s “The Middle” and Paramore‘s “Misery Business,” which Jax again jumped on stage to perform.

The celebration continued in high spirits as Jax, Gregg, and their wedding guests came together to dance the hora to the energetic tune of “Hava Nagila” by Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, a fitting nod to the early 2000s and a perfect reflection of the vibrant love shared between the newlyweds.

Before their nuptials, Jax shared a giggly and heartwarming video of her and Gregg with the captions: “showing my fiance my sad attempt at writing my vows” and “Spongebob Wrote My Vows.” You can check out the adorable video of the couple below.

From all of us at idobi Radio, a massive congratulations to Jax and Brave! We hope you have a lifetime of happiness together.
