Jared Leto was left with a broken nose and several other injuries as a concert appearance by his rock band 30 Seconds To Mars lifted the roof at a concert hall in El Paso, Texas.
Leto was injured when he ran into the crowd during one of his band’s biggest hits “The Kill”, according to the band’s record label, during a show last week which also featured several other acts under the ‘Taste of Chaos’ banner.
The break was unintentional and caused when thousands of fans surged forward as Leto prowled the floor of County Coliseum. The singer and actor also suffered a foot injury and superficial injuries to his face and body, which he had checked out later that night at a local hospital.
“I’ve been producing shows for 25 years and this was one of the scariest moments I have witnessed,” Taste of Chaos organizer Kevin Lyman said in a statement. “We hope Jared’s injuries are all minor and that he has a speedy recovery.”
