2025 has turned out to be a historic year for the emo faithful. Fans were treated to a live performance of an unreleased My Chemical Romance track, “War Beneath The Rain,” for the first time—a track frontman Gerard Way dedicated to the band’s late collaborator and producer Doug McKean. Now, Way has followed it up with brand-new music through his side project, The Mock-Ups, dropping the McKean-produced single “I Wanna Know Your Name.”
The Mock-Ups sees Way stepping into a new role on vocals and bass, joined by familiar names from The Interrupters: Aimee Allen is featured on backing vocals, with Jesse Bivona on drums. Additionally, The Interrupters’ Kevin Bivona worked on keys and production, plus Michael Schulz, Head of Signature Artists at Fender, is on guitar.

The Long Live The Black Parade Tour is set to continue on international tour dates in 2026. My Chemical Romance is also set to headline the Shaky Knees event this year alongside Deftones and blink-182. Check out their tour dates below.
