DE’WAYNE — “Highway Robbery”
For those who found love in their rock n’ roll souls.
DE’WAYNE’s “Highway Robbery” is a funky, high-energy love letter wrapped in rock and soul. With his signature blend of swagger and heart, he pays tribute to the love of his life over electrifying guitar riffs and a groove that just won’t quit. The track oozes personality, showing off DE’WAYNE’s magnetic energy through his funk and rock influences. Make sure that the volume is turned all the way up before the song starts. The opening notes will be a heavenly chorus full of sonic passion! Crank it up and feel the love! —Sasha
Archers — “Never Enough”
For those who feel like they’re always letting someone down.
One of the most talked about rising bands in hard rock and metal of 2024, Archers continue their unstoppable momentum with “Never Enough.” From the opening riffage to vocalist Nathanael Pulley’s soulful voice over a stadium-sized chorus, this song delivers. Cranking it up to 11 with a big bridge and filthy breakdown, this is a track that will have crowds headbanging and singing along all spring long on their tour with Catch Your Breath! —Patrick Walford
Nick Karcher — “Not Another Song Called Perfect”
For anyone who is a sucker for old stool Mayday Parade and big, sing-along choruses.
Nick Karcher‘s latest single, “Not Another Song Called Perfect,” is a pop-punk anthem that masterfully blends soaring melodies with a big, sing-along chorus. The track exudes a young-love nostalgia and wistfulness. Karcher’s vocals harmoniously intertwine with the guitar and drums, allowing the lyrics to stand out as the focal point. The song’s playful title nods to the 2001 film Not Another Teen Movie, adding a layer of humor to its nostalgic theme. Its perfectly timed release for Valentine’s Day makes it a fitting addition to the season’s soundtrack. —Paige Owens
Bowling For Soup — “The Rock Show”
For those who can’t wait for the summer and the Warped Tour!
Bowling For Soup is always putting on a fun live show. So what a way they teased their Vans Warped Tour announcement by covering “The Rock Show” by blink-182. The iconic line “couldn’t wait for the summer and the Warped Tour” hit so much differently in a fresh version. Especially with the anticipation of the lineup dropping soon after the song came out. —Fish
Save Face — “Sharpen Your Teeth”
For the theatre kids who begged their drama teacher to do Rocky Horror Picture Show as the spring musical.
Save Face released their gut-punch of a second studio album, Another Kill For The Highlight Reel, in October 2021. However, with several tracks resurfacing on TikTok, it felt only appropriate to praise it once again. New discoveries and new fans are rising. Save Face brought their own unique spin to a style of emo-driven alternative music. We hadn’t seen it done this well since My Chemical Romance.
Theatrics, antics, and over-the-top delivery of the era battle with well-crafted songwriting. Whether the band was bathed in blood or hanging from the rafters, the catchy choruses still made their way into your soul. It’s for the theatre kids who begged their drama teacher to do Rocky Horror Picture Show as the spring musical. Normally it would be recommended here to start with “Sharpen Your Teeth” because it’s on this list. Actually, listen to the whole goddamn album from start to finish. You won’t regret it. —Tate Logan
