Dorothy — “The Devil I Know”
For those riding at dawn, and taking the devil with them.
Dorothy’s “The Devil I Know” is a high-voltage rock anthem that grabs you and doesn’t let go. With her powerhouse vocals and a riff that kicks the door down, Dorothy gives us a rebellious and cathartic track. The song dives into personal struggles and spiritual battles, but instead of feeling heavy and somber, it’s an electrifying anthem that makes you want to scream along. It’s got that raw, unapologetic energy, like Joan Jett meets classic bluesy grit. If you’re into rock with soul and attitude, this one must be listened to with the volume all the way up. Make the walls shake, and the devil knows who’s boss! Dorothy’s album The Way is out now! —Sasha
DE’WAYNE — “biological”
For those hungry for a modern-day Prince.
DE’WAYNE is the closest thing our generation will get to a modern-day David Bowie or Prince-style legend. His fashion, branding, and attitude have always exuded this aesthetic, but his latest musical endeavors meet the same iconography threshold. DE’WAYNE is a force of nature, and “biological” is only further cementing his longevity in the alternative pop space. The perfect blend of guitar-driven instrumentation and ‘80s-inspired pop synths, he has honed his sound into something timeless. —Tate Logan
Malevolence — “If It’s All The Same To You”
For those needing the PERFECT song to commit a heist to.
The lead single off their newly announced album, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, dropping in June, Malevolence brings it hard with nasty riffs and explosive breakdowns in a big way that only they can. This song would be the definition of “permanent stankface” if it were in the dictionary. Packed with more riffs and licks than a jumbo jawbreaker, this is the kind of track you headbang and mosh to simultaneously. The patented vocal trade-off between frontman Alex Taylor and guitarist Kon Hall creates a dynamic where listeners get raw heaviness and a big rock chorus vibe in such a fashion that only they can truly do. This track raises the bar and the hype for their new album in every way. To make a sick track even better, the guys had UK acting legend Alan Ford guest star in the heist-themed video for the song! —Patrick Walford
Knox — “50/50”
For those who need 50 percent more.
Knox is here once again, and this time he’s telling a heart-wrenching story with a sad instrumental behind it! No relationship should be one-sided, and both people should have to put 50% in, but it doesn’t always end up like that. In “50/50,” Knox expresses how much he wants to meet in the middle, but unfortunately, both parties aren’t giving 50%, and now 50% of his bed is getting cold. He talks about something that is missing, but it doesn’t seem like he could pinpoint it; it seems like what’s missing is the other 50%. —Fish
Underoath — “All The Love Is Gone”
For anyone feeling like they’re falling apart.
Pulled from their newly released full-length album, The Place After This One, Underoath’s “All The Love Is Gone” rewires their DNA. Fueled by skittering drum-and-bass rhythms and ominous low-end, the track surges with intensity as Spencer Chamberlain’s screams collide with Aaron Gillespie’s precision and vocals. The track lunges into genre-bending, fusing their signature heaviness and strength with a dark electronic pulse, creating an enthralling wave that capitalizes on their new sound while maintaining their familiar approach. The band’s new 12-track collection, The Place After This One, is available now. —Paige Owens
