SiM — “FiVE TiMES DEAD (by my wallet)”

Japanese metal-fusion titans SiM, have just launched their new single, “FiVE TiMES DEAD (by my wallet),” and it’s going to melt your face clean off. The group, beloved for their blend of metal and reggae/ska, is at their most exciting and dynamic on this offering. They say, “SiM’s heaviest, most chaotic reggae punk track yet. World tour soon!” Stay tuned for those forthcoming dates because you won’t want to miss them. — Maria Serra

In Color — “Jet Lag Mouth”

Nashville’s In Color released “Jet Lag Mouth,” and it’s a synth-laden pop dream you have to hear right now. The band explains, “The song is basically about someone who acts like they’ve got it all together, but deep down, they’re falling apart. It’s for the avoidants who run away from any feelings of intimacy and the damage they’ve caused in a relationship. There’s another person who can see right through the act, but every time they try to get closer, they’re pushed away. In the end, nothing ever really gets sorted out.” Check out all their forthcoming headlining tour dates here. — Maria Serra

Cherry Bomb — “Digital Girl”

Cherry Bomb is pushing back against the noise of the algorithm with “Digital Girl,” a glossy, confessional pop track that leans into the chaos of being online. Led by Mandy Lee, the song captures the constant pull between falling into comparison spirals and wanting to break free from them altogether. Paired with a hyper-saturated visual directed by Matty Vogel, “Digital Girl” turns overstimulation into something tangible—flashing, overwhelming, and impossible to ignore—while framing Cherry Bomb as both a reaction to and escape from the digital world. —Paige Owens

Jesus Christ Taxi Driver — “Have It”

Colorado’s Jesus Christ Taxi Driver has an important message for you this month, and it’s layered with high-energy, folk-laced indie rock. The band’s Colin Kelly says “Have It” is “a song about the plight of the common person in America. It seems that the American dream (whatever that is) has become less and less attainable, especially in this gilded era.” You can check out the group’s full record, Taxi The Rich, on April 24 via Midtopia. — Maria Serra

MISSIO — “Dopamine Kisses”

Electronic duo MISSIO is back with their thrilling new single and video for “Dopamine Kisses” from their upcoming record Love & Heartbreak due out on July 3 via Nettwerk. The band says, “In any relationship it can be the most beautiful thing to see the best in the other person. You love them so much that you can see their potential and what they’re capable of. You see through their insecurities and vulnerabilities, and want them to be the best and most authentic version of themselves as they exist in the world. The challenge, however, is accepting them as they are and not attempting to change or fix them, that has to come from them. I’ve struggled with a savior complex throughout my life, thinking I’m capable of saving other people from themselves. The hard reality for me, though, is that I cannot change anyone but myself. I’ve learned time and time again that it is not my responsibility. What I am capable of, though, is walking beside them through their own struggles as they grow into the person that they want to be, not who I want them to be.”  — Maria Serra

Marmozets — “Cut Back”

After a near-decade hiatus, Marmozets are gearing up to release their new record CO.WAR.DICE. on May 22, featuring singles, “A Kiss From A Mother,” “You Want The Truth,” “New York,” “Running With The Sun In Your Eyes,” and their latest offering, “Cut Back.” The punchy new track is high-energy and headbang-inducing. This is Marmozets at their best! Stay tuned for the whole record, sure to be a fabulous summer listen. — Maria Serra

Beatrix — “Upstate”

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Beatrix has just revealed her stunning new music video for “Upstate” from her sophomore album We Swallowed The Sky. The artist, aka Arielle Kasnetz, says of her new LP, “Sometimes I have a hard time being understood. And I think if I had to show somebody who I was or explain who I was, it would best be done by just playing them this album. It feels like the most personal thing that you could do is to encapsulate what’s going on in your subconscious and release it for people to listen to. It feels like the most me I’ve ever felt.” Check out the record here. — Maria Serra

The Strike — “No Time To Waste (End Of May)”

Indie-pop trio The Strike has returned with their new single “No Time To Waste (End Of May),” and it’s the perfect addition to your beach playlist. Vocalist Chris Crabb shares, “This song is about that last summer before everything changes. When you’re young, summer marks the end of a cycle, but for a high school senior, it marks the end of an era: late nights, first love, and growing up. Looking back, I didn’t realize I was saying goodbye to many of my friends for the last time. If you’re in that season of life right now, make the most of it. Seize the moments before they slip away. And for those of us on the other side, I hope it’s a fun walk down memory lane.” Check out their full tour run here. — Maria Serra
