Can you believe it’s been 20 years since Underoath released their breakout fourth studio album, They’re Only Chasing Safety? Neither can we. Spencer Chamberlain‘s debut release with the band was launched with their leading single, “Reinventing Your Exit,” with the full album arriving on June 15, 2004. August Burns Red has had a whirlwind year since the release of 2023’s 12-track Death Below, and now they’re continuing their heavy ascent with a reimagining of the album’s “The Cleansing.” Heavy music fans have a new addition to add to their playlists as the rework is a collaboration with Lorna Shore‘s Will Ramos. One Step Closer has announced their new album, All You Embrace. The hardcore group’s second LP will be released on May 17 via Run For Cover Records. In the wake of the announcement, they’ve released a new song called “Giant’s Despair.” In the track, the band embraces shoegaze sounds with intricate hardcore chords that are re-fitted into a modern mix of emphatic emo.
