senses — “diamonds on your dagger”

For those who are in their main character energy.

senses’ latest track, “diamonds on your dagger,” feels like a cinematic superhero theme—exploding with confidence and totally electrifying. This is a song you’ll want to sing in the mirror as you get ready to take on the world. The track amps up the drama with powerful synths, driving guitars, and Madison Taylor’s brain-scratching vocals. It’s a dynamic sound that shows the band pushing boundaries while staying true to their signature anthemic style. senses keep raising the bar! Silent Planet x Invent Animate — “Return To One”

For fans of that time the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers teamed up, but metalcore.

When two of the most prominent and exciting metalcore bands of the past decade write a song together, you know it’s going to be epic, which is exactly what “Return To One” is. Hitting on both the melodic and heavy side in ways Silent Planet and Invent Animate have made their specialty for years, from the crushing breakdowns to spacey melodic vibes, this song perfectly encapsulates what makes both bands so great into one incredibly awesome collaboration. Like a cherry on top, it all comes to a crescendo with a massive breakdown to end the track like an explosion. “Return To One” is a track that will have metalcore fans buzzing all year! —Patrick Walford

Brake — “Whiskey N’ Lace”

For fans of being outside more than inside.

Thriller Records’ newest addition is bringing hippie pop-rock back to the mainstream. Brake is winning over our ears and our hearts, one groovy and eccentric track at a time. Crafting songs that make you feel like you are running barefoot through a field of daisies with an American Spirit pressed between your lips, “Whiskey N’ Lace” is the perfect jumping-in point to his playful discography. In simplest terms, Brake is creating “feel good” music, reeling people in by filling the absence of 2007-NeverShoutNever-inspired aesthetics into modern artistry. Glixen — “All Tied Up”

For anyone who’s still daydreaming about living out their best grunge-esque life in the ‘90s.

Glixen has unveiled the towering new single “All Tied Up.” The track unfolds like a hazy daydream awash in ‘90s-esque distorted guitars and thunderous drums, fully immersing the listener in the band’s grunge-infused, shoegaze sound. The layered instrumentation invokes a nostalgia, further amplified by the almost whispered vocals of frontwoman Aislinn Ritchie. The track will appear on the group’s forthcoming EP, quiet pleasures, which drops on February 21 ahead of their performances at Coachella in April. —Paige Owens

Ezra — “Gauze”

For those who need hyper-pop.

Ezra‘s newest single, “Gauze,” brings everything we love about Ezra together: quick melodies, bedroom hyperpop and amazing vocal effects. The high-pitched vocals out of nowhere mixed with very clever production and instrumentation will have you asking, “Wait, what did I just hear?” but be able to sing along by the next time you hear the song. If you like The Ready Set, Ezra’s new single is that if there was a double shot of espresso in the mix! —Fish
