At the Brits awards, Elton John reacted with amazement to the news that Eminem didn’t realise he was gay.
“I don’t know what planet he must live on. The whole experience was really fantastic. I was asked to do it and I said absolutely yes even though I knew I was going to p**s off a certain amount of people in the gay community.”
“I’m an advocate of free speech, I think the guy’s a genius and I don’t think his lyrics are homophobic at all. I just laughed my head off when I heard them!”
Elton John couldn’t have made much of an impression on Coldplay’s Chris at the Brits.
