Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ ex-wife says their 10-year-old son should be getting the same amount in child support – $30,000 a month, she claims – as the son the rap mogul had out of wedlock.
Misa Hylton-Brim testified Tuesday in Family Court in New Rochelle in her lawsuit seeking a raise from the monthly $5,000 she now gets for 10-year-old Justin. Combs did not appear and his lawyer, Peter Galasso, declined to comment.
Hylton-Brim, a hip-hop fashion stylist who lives in Mount Vernon, has sole custody of the boy, although Combs has visitation rights.
“I want to be able to provide everything my child needs,” she said.
Her lawyer, Brett Kimmel, said she needs the extra money to keep up with expenses including private school, a full-time nanny and ’round-the-clock security.
“This child’s needs specifically relate to his father being who he is,” Kimmel said.
He said the hip-hop entrepreneur pays about $30,000 a month for the support of his 6-year-old son Christian, whose mother is model Kim Porter.
Combs runs the Bad Boy Entertainment music publishing and recording company and has his own fashion line, Sean John, and several restaurants.
