Best Buy And Jive Records Offer Online Pre-Sell Of *NSYNC'S New Album "Celebrity''

Beginning Sunday, June 17 through July 23, fans that pre-order *NSYNC’s new title “Celebrity” from BestBuy.com, SamGoody.com, MediaPlay.com, OnCue.com or Suncoast.com will receive a recorded telephone message from a member of the band.

Fans who pre-order “Celebrity” will receive an e-mail containing a link to register for the telephone message. Within ten minutes of registering, their phone will ring with a message from Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, or Chris Kirkpatrick. The call will also contain samples of three songs from “Celebrity” including “Girlfriend,” “The Two of Us,” and “Selfish”. Fans will have the option of letting the call go directly to voicemail or an answering machine.

This unique on-line venture is a joint effort between BestBuy.com, SamGoody.com and Jive Records. It is the first promotion of its kind to marry e-commerce with the latest telephone technology in an effort to deliver music fans an added bonus for ordering a new recording before it is available in-stores.

“We are very excited about rolling out this unique promotion for *NSYNC in conjunction with Best Buy and Sam Goody. It utilizes cutting edge technologies and at the same time offers *NSYNC fans a simple, fun way to hear from their favorite group,” said Jeff Dodes of Jive’s New Media department. The back end technology for the promotion is provided by I.E. Marketing, LLC, in partnership with Sentica.

Since 1998, *NSYNC has been topping the charts with songs such as “I Want You Back,” “Tearing Up My Heart,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “It’s Gonna Be Me” and “This I Promise You”. The quintet’s last album “No Strings Attached” is certified 11X Platinum in the U.S. alone and holds the record for the most records sold in its first week of release moving a whopping 2.4 million copies in 6 days. “Bye Bye Bye”, the first single from the record was also the most added pop radio single of all time. *NSYNC’s fourth album, “Celebrity”, will be released on July 24.
