On Tuesday, August 26, three metal icons broke the alternative internet. Evanescence‘s Amy LeeSpiritbox‘s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy shared a collaborative Instagram post standing in a row. They continued to build anticipation by offering no caption. On Thursday, August 28, they shared a snippet of their new collab, “End Of You.”

Per the short teaser, it sounds as if Amy Lee sings, “”Cause the end of you is the start of life for me.” The black and white video snippets reveal flashes of all three metal vocalists. While the release date has not been confirmed, we can only hope it’s soon.

Currently, rumors are swirling on Reddit that the collab is produced by Jordan Fish, though these cannot be confirmed yet. Check out the clip below.

Naturally, the forthcoming collab is already so iconic, it’s generating memes online.

Additionally, Twitter/X users have been comparing this possible forthcoming collab to massive pop crossovers such as “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Nicki Minaj, as well as “Lady Marmalade” featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and P!nk.

One commenter on LaPlante’s post above even said, “Close enough. Welcome back Destiny’s Child.”
