Mario, the burgeoning teenage singing sensation, is preparing for his big debut on J Records. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, at age 14 Mario moved to New Jersey where he has been recording his first album with major producers such as Alicia Keys, Warryn Campbell and Damon and Harvey. The first single -“Just A Friend 2002” a smash remake of Biz Markie’s gem – arrives to radio on April 22nd.
On April 7th and April 8th, Mario will return to his hometown Baltimore to shoot the video for “Just A Friend 2002” with director Diane Martell. In the video, a sweet cat and mouse young love story, Mario will also unveil his amazing dance skills to the world.
Mario’s debut album will be released on June 25, 2002. In late April, he will commence a lengthy tour bringing him from school to school across America. Dates and locations will be issued soon.
