Until I Wake – Reasons
Until I Wake are the sort of band that can do absolutely everything. Punishing metalcore refrains? Check. Buoyant pop-punk-leaning sing-alongs? Check. Emotionally rapped verses, a chorus to be screamed from the rooftops and plenty of chugging intent hiding in the cracks, it’s a hard rock hit in the making.

Coming straight out of Berlin, Future Palace perfectly encapsulates the brute force and industrial scale of their home country. “Malphas” is their latest offering and is as smooth as steel, offering up plenty of jagged edges for good measure. Haunting one minute, harrowing the next, it’s a pitch-perfect piece of post-hardcore that will wrap itself around your throat and squeeze time and time again.
Cali Rodi – Friends Again
Delivering heartbreak in its most pure and most potent form, Cali Rodi makes it look like second nature. “Friends Again” points towards the feeling of knowing that the person you care about more than any other can never be what they used to be to you, as there’s no going back from what you have been through. Set against a tranquil piano instrumental, this one is going to cut you deep.
As Everything Unfolds – Twilight
One of the UK’s best-kept secrets, As Everything Unfolds, have just shared their new album Ultraviolet with the world. And if there is any justice, they should be absolutely huge in no time. One such reason for that is “Twilight”, one of the record’s many highlights, which plays with the light and the dark beautifully, with plenty of neon stains splattered across it as well. It chugs, soars and rallies in all the ways that modern post-hardcore should, and that should be celebrated.
Innerlove – Ain’t Who I Wanna Be
Slowing things down a glacial pace, Innerlove’s latest offering from their debut album Roscoe is the sound of the Fall but presented in the Spring. A soft emo riff, a poetic refrain or two and all of the intense and pain-staking emotion you could wish for, “Ain’t Who I Wanna Be” is thoughtful, tear-stained and terrifically affecting. The perfect song to stare out of your window to.
Uncle Toasty – PNEUMOTHORAX
Uncle Toasty love a bit of mayhem. It’s simply in their nature. And that love is best represented via “PNEUMOTHORAX”, a gritty, gruelling piece of dusty rock and roll that leaps and bounds between each of your ears. With vocals that could cut diamonds and a chaotic atmosphere that will get the blood pumping, this is your latest party starter, all packed up neatly and ready for you to unleash.
Bleeding Through – War Time
Metalcore legends Bleeding Through are right back at it again and bringing 2003 crashing into the modern day in some style. “War Time” is the band’s first music in just over a year and takes a massive swing with its atmospheric builds and gritty riffs. Just over 20 years into their journey and still finding new ways to deliver devastation, they are a band that we should love and treasure whilst we can.
heydukeyousuck – When I Come Home
Family is everything, especially for heydukeyousuck. That’s clear when you listen to “When I Come Home”, a driving pop-punk anthem that focuses on how no matter what else happens in this life, going home holds its own special place in all our lives. As wonderfully sentimental as it is gorgeously catchy, it’s hard not to think of where you call HQ as it washes over you.
Brand Of Sacrifice – Between Death And Dreams
One of deathcore’s most breathless and bold bands to leap out of the void over the last few years, Brand Of Sacrifice have just shared their new EP Between Death And Dreams. And the title track perfectly encapsulates everything that makes them so brilliant. With corrosive riffs, guttural howls and plenty of surprises along the way, including a heavenly clean vocal, it is a song made without fear or boundary. Oh, and the breakdown is a total neck-snapper.
Family Dinner – Revenge Dress
On the lookout for a breakup song that focuses on going out and living rather than wallowing in your sadness? Family Dinner have your back. Combining their seething alternative rock-laced pop-punk with pure “fuck you” attitudes and self-love affirmations, “Revenge Dress” is the anthem for anyone who is looking to show their shitty ex what they are missing. Play it loud and proud.
