Indie-rock trio Wallows have come out of hibernation and are back with their new single “Your Apartment.” This marks the first new offering from Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston since 2022’s Tell Me That It’s Over.

With an accompanying music video, “Your Apartment” features upbeat groovy surf rock guitar melodies, understated, yet gripping vocals, and deliciously melancholy lyrics. “Who said I don’t understand or that/I probably won’t remember/Time in the palm of your hand/We both let go together,” the chorus says. Watch the full music video below featuring a vintage aesthetic.

Of the new song, Wallows shares, “This is the first song from our new album that fully came together lyrically quite some time ago now, so it feels right that it gets heard first.”

Additionally, they share that they’re elated for their next chapter. “We’re so excited and eager to be releasing music for the first time in nearly two years,” the band says. “It’s the longest we’ve been silent and it feels good to finally be back.”

On top of celebrating a brand-new single, the band is having a party for five years of Nothing Happens featuring their now-triple platinum hit single “Are You Bored Yet? (feat. Clairo).” Fans of Wallows can secure the debut album for Record Store Day. The special vinyl set features new artwork, a poster, a resequenced tracklist, and four bonus tracks.

Even though Wallows doesn’t have any tour dates announced, we are hopeful that they’re on the way. However, the band did release some very cool merch for “Your Apartment” which includes T-shirts, a coaster set, and even a doormat. You can secure your merch here.
